Remember those days when you would receive something in the mail other than bills, the occasional magazine and some junk mail? I can recall my cousin and I writing back and forth to each other. I would run to the mail box every day after school to see if I'd received a letter yet. I would spend the entire afternoon writing to her on my stationary complete with doodling on the side.
These days, it's just easier and more convenient to send out a quick e-mail. Whether it be a facebook invite, a mass e-mail, or a quick thank you - the internet has come to the rescue for every busy person out there. I'll admit, I use the internet to my advantage too. But recently, I received the most touching thank you note from a client - hand written no less! It really put a smile on my face.
Let's take a stand and try to bring back snail mail! Especially with the holidays around the corner, imagine the surprise when your friends and family receive a personal note in the mail from you!
I love these stationary sets from Envelopments. We have a few sets "sale - ready", but since we love to customize, your stationary can be made with any color or style.

$16.95 for a set of 8. (Includes a folded card, envelope and liner)
Use Coupon Code: StatENV10 for 10% OFF of every stationary order
It's seems silly really - a liner for your envelope. Everyone always throws away the envelope don't they? At one time I might have agreed with you, but now I rarely send out a card without dressing up my envelope with a liner.

A liner adds a minimal cost to your ensemble (starting at only $.10) - after all, it is only a piece of paper cut to size. The possibilities are endless. Let's say you are in love with the pattern you chose but aren't ready to commit to it for your entire announcement... add it on the liner!. Take a look at the invitation below created with our custom line, Envelopments.

Here, the pattern really pops because of the liner! Without it, the only place it would be seen is a layer behind the main announcement (only 1/2 an inch).
For this design (also made with Envelopments) fuchsia and brown are clearly the theme. By interchanging the envelope and liners for the save the dates and invitation, it adds interest while keeping everything cohesive. Love it!

In the end, the liners add a lot to your ensemble without digging deep in your wallet. For 100 invitations, you're looking at only spending $10. Take my advice, skip the caramel frap and go for the liner! :)
I love coming home from parties with favors. I'll be honest, most of them get adopted by my kids, but every once in a while one comes around that actually gets put to use!
Cohesiveness at an event is key, but when your guests can bring something home that they can use, the memory will always go back to that special party that YOU threw!
That's why I am in love with these favors.
These Hooked on Love Purse Hooks (Item 1080) are just what every girl needs when going out. I'll never forget my first name brand purse was a Coach (thank you dear husband). Of course it was white... The first time I took it out, it came home with a battle scar - a HUGE black mark across the side from the dirty floors at the restaurant we ate at (don't even get me started with the food we ate there...)
This is EXACTLY what I needed!

Even though the next one doesn't have such a big "wow" factor, for me it's one I use every night. A bookmark! When I actually find the time to read, I'm always messing up my perfectly crisp pages with creases to mark my spot. These Marked with Love heart bookmarks (Item 2008) are adorable and practical too!

We have feverishly been working on a NEW line of couture silk boxes! Here is a sneak peek of what is in store....

Get ready for the NEW line to arrive at the end of May!!!
Ahh, escort cards. They are the means by which your guests will know which table they are to be seated at. It's best to organize alphabetically so that guests can find their names easily and quickly without causing a bottleneck at the front door to your reception. If you choose to do it by table, remember to print an alpha list (i.e., Brown, Robert - Table 1; Zuleta, Ana - Table 2; etc) so that guests or ushers can locate the table assignment without a hitch.
Below are some cool ideas to jazzing up the escort card display, versus the standard "lay them out on a table" approach.

The new year is fast approaching. Having a party?
This is the time to go all out with your invites! Use bold colors, abstract patterns and new designs!
Keep the theme going with your decor. Order custom made clock chargers/place mats (starting at $15.99) and dazzle up your table with confetti and coordinating ribbons. Don't forget the champagne glasses!!!

A Save the Date is a great way to give your guests a heads up for your special day. Usually, I like to recommend that brides send out Save the Dates when their wedding falls out on a day that most families use for vacations (ex. 4th of July, Memorial Day, New Years, etc.)
Nevertheless, Save the Dates are a great way to be fun and creative! Leave the formality for your invitation. Get creative with your Save the Dates and really get your guests talking!
I love the uniqueness of these Save the Dates:

Photo Booth Save the Date
This can be used for anyone in any theme! Just apply your colors and you are set!

Ticket Save the Date
I especially love these for Destination Weddings. They have a vintage feel but are still a lot of fun!

Ribbons and Numbers Save the Date
I love the simplicity of this Save the Date. What a surprise when your guests open it up to reveal your wedding date!

Photo Save the Date
Use your personal pictures in your Save the Date. This is great when you or your fiance haven't met all of the family yet.
